About Me

Kyle Murphy

I am a photographer born in Shepparton, Australia, with experience photographing a wide range of subjects including Portraits, Events, Landscapes, Weddings, and Branding content.

I took a leap to pursue higher education and athletics at Harvard University in Boston, USA, from 2018 to 2023. My Track & Field career led me to a National Championship U20 gold (AUS ‘18), and later serving as Co-Captain for Harvard T&F for the 2021/22 season. My academic pursuits were, surprisingly, not directly related to photography. I delved into a major of History & Science, supplemented by a secondary field in Energy & Environment. These studies spanned multiple departments; I found it useful in maintaining a curious, wandering mind while forming connections between fields I never would have seen otherwise. The common thread throughout all of this time, however, was in keeping a camera close at hand and learning to see new and old things through different perspectives. In 2025 I relocated to Campbell, California with my fiancée where we will be until 2028/29.

I have practiced with many genres of photography, though my primary creative expression comes through my landscape work where I continually strive to delve beyond technical expertise to infuse stories and emotion into my compositions. After 10 years of landscape photography, 2025 has been the year I focus my efforts on print-making and perfected the final versions of my work.
